This guide describes how an administrator can enable External Party Calls so that agents can add an additional third party to a voice call whilst the call is active.
Conferencing in an external party can be used by users with the agent
, supervisor
, or admin
roles. However, in order to enable conferencing in an external party, the admin
role is required.
Guide Steps
- While logged in as a RACE administrator, navigate to the bottom left and select the Race Admin cogwheel [1].
- Below the list of currently installed plugins, the General Admin Settings will be visible.
- Click the Conference in an External Party toggle [2], changing it from opaque to red. Then click Save [3] to allow the changes to the settings to take place.
- Agents on a call with a customer should now be able to dial in an external party following the steps in the article 'How to Add an External Party to a Voice Call'.
